Adults participate in therapy for various reasons. I treat adults who are looking to gain self-awareness and improve their relationships. I help examine their thoughts, feelings, and past experiences, and look for patterns in the way they interact with others. This type of therapy can be helpful for those who are unhappy in life and have difficulty figuring out why, or those who frequently engage in unsatisfying relationships. Once we have gained a better understanding of the issues, we work on developing strategies to bring about change.
Most of my work with adults has been with those who are in transitional phases and are having difficulty figuring life out. Therapy focuses on clarifying thoughts and feelings, and finding the motivation to keep moving forward. Together, we work to get through the barriers that are in the way of true potential – personal, interpersonal, and professional.
